"Dear Mr. and Mrs. King: Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin and extending such warm hospi-tality. The breakfast was scrumptious and not expected! We've rented other cabins and had to bring everything from bath towels to toilet paper. Your cabin experience is more like a hotel! It gave our little family a chance to relax and reconnect. We are grateful and will be back!" The Funaris, Barberton, OH.
Note from us. We want you to feel like you moved into our home when you visit Glenking B&B. All you really need to bring is yourselves and a few personal items. We even have a toothbrush if you forgot yours! The sincerest compliment is the number of guests who have come back year after year. It shows we are doing things right.
"Mr. & Mrs. King: Thank you so much for a great time. I don't know where to start. Victoria Rose loved playing with your grandchildren and taking walks in the woods and playing with the dogs (our son brought his dog along to play with Shadow). It's beautiful here winter and summer. We'll spread the word about this little piece of heaven on earth to anyone looking for that special place to relax and un-wind. We look forward to another visit in the future." The Richards, Sebring, OH July, 07.
"Dear Chris and Marilyn: We've rented quite a few cabins over the years, but this one will probably be the most memorable. The setting out here is idyllic and Mother Nature served us some nice weather. We hiked all the trails on the property quite a few times and always seemed to see something new each time. Our dog, Calvin, wore out from the exercise! At the same time it feels like we got a lot of rest. We appreciated the coffee cake, granola and the other specialties of the house. No one should miss the great collection of books and videos too! We hope to return during a different season." B&TH, Canton, OH (9/07)
“Dear Chris & Marilyn: We've truly enjoyed our getaway
anniversary weekend here at the cabin. A return to the hills
and trees and peace and quiet of nature was just what the
doctor ordered.
Thank you for the wonderful breakfasts and for sharing your
cozy retreat with the world. The crisp autumn nights and the
full moon were magical. Coupled with a weedend of beautiful
sunshiny days and a plethora of fall colors, our anniversary
weekend was nothing less than perfect!" Cindy & Ben

"To borrow from Robert Frost...
"Two roads diverged in the woods...
"And you took the one less taken." Now you have
shared it with others (like us) – and it has made all the
difference! Your love of our land and gentle care for the
environment is an inspiration to others. May you walk these
paths for many years to come and have a long, healthy life.”
- Susan M. May, 2006, Cincinnati , OH & St. George,
Utah
"Chris and Marilyn (& Shadow too): We have truly
enjoyed our stay here in your cozy cabin. God sure blessed
us with beautiful Ohio weather. Thanks for your hospitality
and for giving us a chance to relax away from our busy and
hurried lives in Florida. Thank you!" - T&D T.,
Wesley Chapel, FL (4/29 - 5/4/2006)
"Dear Marilyn & Chris, we don't want to
go home! Coming for our sisters' runaway, we found it a comfort
to know you were close by. (Note: It is not an uncommon
reaction for city folks to feel strange about the silence
and darkness here at Glenking.) There was an excellent
balance of privacy and availability. The cabin is bealutiful,
comfortable and cozy. The homemade touch of coffee cake and
muffins was such a treat too! We thoroughly enjoyed cooking
outside on the gas grill, taking a walk to the pond and sitting
around the fire brazier outside. we hope to come back next
year." -Donna G., Indiana;Barb I & Linda B. from
Pennsylvania (6/9&10, 2006)
"Awesome Cabin! Who knew such an aswsome place existed so close to home. We thought we would need to go to the Poconos for such charm. I think you could film a western here! We loved it and we will be back for a longer stay! We might even bring our four children next time! We loved the hospitality and the whole experience. Thank you." - J&M T, Canton, OH (3/5/06)
"The cabin is beautiful and so is its location.
We very much enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area. It was
a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary. We also enjoyed
your hospitality and enjoyed meeting Shadow (our very friendly
dog). We plan to return here again. I enjoyed hiking
the trails down to the pond. And we admire your conservation
efforts." (Glenking recycles all cans, plastic and cardboard.
We hope you do too.) - Scott & Barbara M. Lakewood,
OH 10/30/05
"My wife and I loved our short stay and will look forward to returning. You have a wonderful retreat, and are the best hosts. See you in the Spring." - Carol & Tony V. Carrollton, OH (10/23/05)
"Wow! What an incredible find! We have camped all over the United States, rented a log cabin in the smoky Mountains and lived in Colorado for years. To find this quiet peaceful log cabin nestled in the trees has been an absolute joy! The cabin is perfect...Beautifully decorated with great thought put into what guests would want/need. We enjoyed roasting hot dogs and making s'mores over the campfire and sitting under the starry sky singing "camp songs". You are gracious hosts who have made us feel right at home with wonderful touches like the homemade blueberry and cinnamon coffee cakes. Yum! We have especially enjoyed the nature walks, abundant fishing in your pond, and the reading shelf. (Great books!) Thanks so much; we feel very blessed and spoiled!" - The R. Family (parents and three children) Louisville, OH (9/6/04)
"We loved your cabin! Thanks for making a friendly place to stay. We enjoyed our family time around the outdoor fireplace. I loved the quiet mornings and coffee on the porch. Thanks again for everything." - J.&C.W, Loveland, CO (7/19/04)
"What a cozy cabin! Stay too short! Your gracious hospitality was above and beyond. We really enjoyed you both and Shadow (our dog) too. Your baking was, as Britanie says, delicious. In other words GREAT. We definitely will return if for nothing else than that blueberry coffee cake. It is definitely an area of God's blessings!" - J,C,&B.K. (6/20/04)
"What a wonderful Father's Day present! Everything was more than I could have hoped for. Thank you for your hospitality. This is definitely a retreat for the soul. God bless!" - M&B.R Paris, OH
Carrollton, OH (6/20/04)
"What wonderful hospitality you extended to me. You've done a marvelous job of creating a comfortable get away cabin. I appreciate your attention to detail - the breakfast, the book of area attractions, the filtered water and more. I hope to come again with family members, but this time alone has been wonderful." - P.W. Grafton, OH (6/15/04)
