"Thank you for our wonderful stay at the cabin at Glenking. We were just amazed at the amenities provided at the Cabin! Your personal touches in decorating, the fabulous coffecake & homemade granola and wonderful visits with you and Chris! We also appreciatedd your dog Shadow's escouriting us on the woods walk! Holly and Tom, Ravenna, OH. 2011
Marilyn and Chris: Thank you for sharing your gem in the woods. You have put a lot of care and thought into providing everything your guess would need (eg the garlic press I forgot to bring from home you supplied). We really enjoyed the walking trails! Your property is just beautiful. This is a great time of year to see the chaging colors of the leaves. We have had a very relaxing weekend with eath other that was much needed. Thank you for your hospitality. I prey that God continues to bless you and your wonderful cabin as you graciously offer this to others. Heather and Brad P. (Claridon, OH) 10/16/10
A perfect vacation..tucked into a lovely cabin in the woods...sitting on the porch watching chipmunks, Shadow at out feet (until she dashes off to chase a chippy)..a walk through the woods, sitting on the freshly painted bench by the pond watching birds. We had two spectaculr days of rail- to -trail bike rides, and conversations with Marilyn and Chris about conservation and nature, and of course we had to snitch an extra poiece of Marilyn's coffee cake. Thank you so very much for your warm hospitality! The Gambles, Holland, MI. Sept. 2010
Dear Mr. & Mrs. King: Simplicity at its best! Thank you kindly for a day in paradise away from the rat-race. My only sorrow is that we must leave. The attention to detail was amaxing. We truly felt we had taken a step back in timne...we so hope we can return. Again, thank you for sharing your lovely cabin wih us. Kindest regards, Dan & Robyn B. Magnolia, OH 12/14/2009.
Chris and Marilyn: Our stay here has been totally enjoyable and a perfect break from city life! Where the cabin stands and the area around it really makes you feel you are "home again" The walk to the pond through the trails and the serenity of all that nature offers are reasons to love the place and all that nature provides are reasons to love the place and yearn to return. God keeps an eye on us here. Talking with each of you makes us feel like we are family....Loved the coffee cake! Norm & Ann, Louisville, OH 10/6/2009
What a wonderful place! You and your wonderful family should be very proud of this home you built with your own hands! Thank you both for your hospitality. Everythig was delicious! I took the rest of the coffee cake and granola to our son at Mount Union. We hope to be back time and time again. You will be our home away from home while our son attends Mount Union. I can't wait for our children to enjoy this place with us! A refreshing change from Florida! Dave & Kim B. Tampa, FL 9/14/09
Dear Marilyn & Chris, I had to look up on the calendar to see the date! It has been three days of bliss and serious reflection. We loved all the unexpected things (like) nice big towels, "real pllows" & comfortable bedding. Fishing was successful and the blugills were hungry for worms. Shadow added much to our pleasure. We will see you again and are already looking forward to next time- probably about the same date in 2010. Steve & Bernadine Z. (WKSU) 4/26/2009.

Kings son Rick enjoys tubing with his kids in the pond
"Mr. & Mrs. King: Thank you so much for a great time. I don't know where to start. Victoria Rose loved playing with your grandchildren and taking walks in the woods and playing with the dogs (our son brought his dog along to play with Shadow). It's beautiful here winter and summer. We'll spread the word about this little piece of heaven on earth to anyone looking for that special place to relax and un-wind. We look forward to another visit in the future." The Richards, Sebring, OH July, 07.
"Dear Chris and Marilyn: We've rented quite a few cabins over the years, but this one will probably be the most memorable. The setting out here is idyllic and Mother Nature served us some nice weather. We hiked all the trails on the property quite a few times and always seemed to see something new each time. Our dog, Calvin, wore out from the exercise! At the same time it feels like we got a lot of rest. We appreciated the coffee cake, granola and the other specialties of the house. No one should miss the great collection of books and videos too! We hope to return during a different season." B&TH, Canton, OH (9/07)
"Chris and Marilyn (& Shadow too): We have truly
enjoyed our stay here in your cozy cabin. God sure blessed
us with beautiful Ohio weather. Thanks for your hospitality
and for giving us a chance to relax away from our busy and
hurried lives in Florida. Thank you!" - T&D T.,
Wesley Chapel, FL (4/29 - 5/4/2006)
"Dear Marilyn & Chris, we don't want to
go home! Coming for our sisters' runaway, we found it a comfort
to know you were close by. (Note: It is not an uncommon
reaction for city folks to feel strange about the silence
and darkness here at Glenking.) There was an excellent
balance of privacy and availability. The cabin is bealutiful,
comfortable and cozy. The homemade touch of coffee cake and
muffins was such a treat too! We thoroughly enjoyed cooking
outside on the gas grill, taking a walk to the pond and sitting
around the fire brazier outside. we hope to come back next
year." -Donna G., Indiana;Barb I & Linda B. from
Pennsylvania (6/9&10, 2006)
"Awesome Cabin! Who knew such an aswsome place existed so close to home. We thought we would need to go to the Poconos for such charm. I think you could film a western here! We loved it and we will be back for a longer stay! We might even bring our four children next time! We loved the hospitality and the whole experience. Thank you." - J&M T, Canton, OH (3/5/06)
"The cabin is beautiful and so is its location.
We very much enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area. It was
a wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary. We also enjoyed
your hospitality and enjoyed meeting Shadow (our very friendly
dog). We plan to return here again. I enjoyed hiking
the trails down to the pond. And we admire your conservation
efforts." (Glenking recycles all cans, plastic and cardboard.
We hope you do too.) - Scott & Barbara M. Lakewood,
